Things to do and places to see in Cornwall

Higher Trevartha Farm is ideally situated for guests wishing to visit all areas of Cornwall and indeed parts of Devon and Dartmoor.

All destinations are within easy reach by car and for those who would prefer to leave the car behind, the main train line running down to Penzance and up to Plymouth, is just 4 miles drive away. If you prefer to walk enjoy almost 300 miles of our breathtaking coastal paths.

For those who prefer to soak up the sun and relax, some of Cornwalls most beautiful coves and beaches are also within easy reach by car.

For the more energetic, the famous Camel Trail running from Bodmin to Wadebridge is the ideal place to hire a bicyle, or, Lower Tokenbury offers horse riding in some of the prettiest parts of Cornwall.

Plymouth is just sixteen miles from the farm and provides a full varied day out. It has an excellent shopping centre with plenty of places to eat and drink and the walk along the Hoe to the Barbican, provides spectacular sea views.
For those interested in river activities, the Barbican is the place to be with all its comings and goings.
The quaint narrow streets, high class gift shops, fine restaurants and pubs which circle the harbour, provide a wonderful contrast to Plymouth's main shopping area. The Barbican is also home to the National Marine Aquarium,Europes largest and is well worth a visit.
